SCUE Introduction

INTRODUCTION

Securities Club of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, abbreviated for SCUE was established on 07/11/1999. After 13 years of development, SCUE has constantly growing, becoming one of the top academic clubs in universities from the economic sector – Finance in Ho Chi Minh City.

Currently, the stock club – SCUE operate under the advice of Dr. Tran Hoang Ngan – Vice Rector of the University of Economics Saigon (UEH), Dr. Tran Huy Hoang – Dean of department of banking (UEH) Dr. Than Thi Thu Thuy – Associate Dean (UEH) who provides support of all faculty in the bank. In addition, the club also received the help and guidance of team members who currently working at organizations, financial institutions across the country.

With the motto “SCUE – Firmly You become big investors”, activities of club SCUE always create an academic environment to help students perceive, experience knowledge and improve ourselves.

Main activities SCUE:

v Virtual trading floor: This is the main activity of SCUE right from the inception. “Virtual Stock Trading SSX” first debuted students (SV) on 02/07/2000 and is the first virtual stock trading platform in Vietnam.

More than 17 virtual transaction has been successfully organized and impressed me in the long participants, including:

• 11 Stock Trading SSX                              
• 3 Exchange trading FOREX.
• 1 Stock Trading on New York Stock Exchange model.
• 1 FUTURES virtual market.
• 1 virtual gold trading floor – SGX.
• 1 virtual commdity transactions SCX

Besides the club hosted Exchange FOREX trading, stock trading floor in the model of the New York Stock Exchange, the Futures market, commodity trading shirt – SCX, a virtual gold trading floor – SGX, …

 Contests “SCUE – stock investors Future“: This is a prestigious academic and high quality, resonate strongly.

• In 2007, the first contest was organized and had a good success. Three students won the first prize of the competition had one week of training and sightseeing in Korea.
• In 2009, the second contest of the participation of nearly 4000 students from universities Economics and Finance. Especially, the contest was with the true form of communication on the HOSE scale trading with account up to 400 millions.

 Other activities: club regularly organizes periodic seminars, focusing on training and improving the quality of human resources through the chain of activities such as: Program SCUE Member Training Program (SMP); Chain specialized activities – SCUE Seminar (SR); programs “Travel with securities companies”; …

With but a positive contribution to the group learning and movement research scientists, SCUE have honored the second merit table as:

• Ho Hao Hon Award Executive Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union of achievements established family patterns served for the practice of monetary financial expertise to students.
• Merit “club” Year 2003 of the Regiment.
• Second commendation for excellence in scientific research with virtual stock market model.
• Merit “the most dynamic club” of the mission schools, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City.
• The most up-to-city competition “Find out securities and the stock market” by Commissar the State Securities Commission.
• The model of the foreign exchange transactions won the first prize of the study intentionally carrying high priority.
