Abstract:
This paper uses data of ADB and Worldbank from 2000 to 2011 to investigate the crowding-out effects of fiscal policy through proxies such as total revenue, total taxes, total expenditures in government finance of Asia Pacific countries. Through panel data estimators, we find the statistical evidences of crowding-in effects, especially in current expenditures and education and social expenditures. While, capital expenditures have crowding-out effects on private investment. Keywords: government expenditures, fiscal policy, crowding-out effects, crowding-in effects.
