Vietnam is ranked only 55th in the Global Sustainability Index (Earth.org). While Vietnam has demonstrated its commitment to the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda by promulging the National Action Plan for its implementation in Decision No. 622/QD-TTg in May 2017 and by developing a set of 17 sustainable development goals, its progress in sustainability has been affected by the challenging global context and the Covid-19 pandemic. However, there is a need for a deeper understanding of sustainable development in the country.
The project team of EU4Sustainability is applying for this project to provide the cognitive tools to higher education students to understand better the EU as a global promoter of sustainable development. The primary target group of the EU4Sustainability project are students at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), who are enrolled in different curricula in different faculties (social sciences, economics, law, etc.). The EU4Sustainability project aims to address the lack of knowledge among UEH students in European studies and to foster their interest in understanding better the European and global dynamics
in this area.
