Dr. Do Ba Khang has a bold profile in international standard reseaches. Bring back bold experience from AIT, Thailand, he was the first to found Hoa Sen research seminar. Which is now a greatly academic environment for scholars to share ideas and create network. His papers are published in very high ranking journals (Scopus citation 203, h-index 5). His widely research expertise includes Management Science, Operations Management Service Management, Small and medium enterprises (SME) support and management and many others.

Introduction on Qualitative Research

 

Presenter: Dr. Pham Thi Ngoc Bich²

 

Lecturer of the Faculty of Accouting and Auditing, University of Economics, HCMC

 

Abstract:

 

Distinguishing between qualitative research and quantitative research causes often confusion for beginers, especially for young researchers in field of banking and finance. This workshop aims to provide very general introduction on qualitative research: qualitative research environment, research settings, research questions and common methodologies applied in qualitative reseach. Open schedule for discussion and experience sharing enables participants to have a further understanding on qualitative research and a clear roadmap for any research idea applying this approach.

 Dr Pham Thi Ngoc Bich graduated her PhD in field of Banking and Finance from University of Western Sydney. Her dissertation mainly focuses in corporate governance and uses qualitative research methods. Her papers are on processing to be published on ISI journals.
